Desk Was Getting Crowded
While hooking up my transceiver for digital modes, I frequently had to access the back of my desktop PC. Moving the PC to check connections got annoying fast. In addition, space was at a premium on my desk.
A buddy of mine, Elai, lives in a small New York city apartment. When we talk about living in and working in small spaces his motto is "Go vertical Chuck, go vertical."
Elai is a wise man. I decided to put my PC on top of the 6 foot bookcase next to my desk. I also decided to put the PC on a carousel so it was easy to access the cables attached to the back of the PC. The below two pictures show how it was built and the end result.
